From finance to fashion
Founded in 2025 by Julie Sachot, DeMercy — named after an ancestor — was born from the encounter between the refined codes of business attire and a love for self-expression.
A graduate of ESCP Business School, Julie began her career in financial restructuring in London, spending nearly a decade in highly demanding environments. It was there that she observed the paradoxes faced by many women: asserting their authority without compromising their femininity, individuality, or freedom of expression.
A wardrobe built on lived experience
Driven by a lifelong creative sensibility shaped by literature, art, theatre, and fashion, she later complemented her business background with studies at the French Institute of Fashion (IFM). Deeply passionate about ideas and storytelling, she draws inspiration from thinkers such as Simone de Beauvoir, Albert Camus, Milan Kundera, and André Breton.
At the intersection of these two worlds, discipline and creativity, DeMercy was born: a House designed to support women in their ambitions while celebrating their individuality. Inspired by these thinkers and fuelled by a passion for fashion, DeMercy seeks to make the lives of businesswomen easier by offering a wardrobe that combines formality, functionality and originality.
